Sepalcure: Lovestep featuring Praveen in the mix and Sougwen Chung

February 12th, 2010 // 10 Comments // Posted by Lukas

Sepalcure is a collaboration of Brooklyn’s Praveen and Machinedrum. The two are creating something they call Lovestep, a combination of soulful house and 2 step beats. Here´s what they write about themselves:

“Sepalcure’s combination of love for bass and 90s house acapellas is the culmination of a cathartic two week collaboration between Machinedrum and Praveen. Their mix of tribal dub, house and two step beats works equally well for both late nights in the club and rainy, introspective nights at home. Detroit techno chords cut through wooden beats, neon synths and dubbed out atmospherics. Future lovestep.”

I really like the idea and the´ve got proper support with the art direction by Sougwen Chung who produces imagery that goes with the music.

This mix by Preaveen is from November 2009 and features some of the best mellow dubstep tracks from 2009. This works so well  for the frosty winter here in Berlin..some of my favourite tracks are among these.

I am lucky enough to be in one of the oldest RP Kinships on Laurelin (they are celebrating their 4th Anniversary in October).Kin raids and fellowship runs are RP all the way. A full group of Hobbits RPing in Skumfil is a sight to behold! We normally make a story to Hobbit-ise it, e.g. we went to Mirobel which by Hobbit became the Merry Bell, obviously an Inn of some sort…
