Another great all day soundtrack by the online radio channel – ByteFM.
This is not just another radio-stream but a real independent radio channel – quality stuff. Based in Hamburg and founded by the Musicjournalist Ruben Jonas Schnell it went live in January 2008 – and just a couple of weeks ago, the Ruhr-Studio in Bochum started broadcasting via the worldwide web, too. Of course, without any commercial breaks its being financed only via free donations.
The focus is on music made by voluntary musicians, journalists and many other music nerds.
So tune in, check it out and get inspired by new sounds without any boundaries. (klickonpic)
ALL THE ANIMATIONS SEEN IN THIS VIDEO WERE CREATED IN CAMERA.
Moray McLaren – We Got Time from David Wilson Creative on Vimeo.
Using both praxinoscopes and the technique of matching up the frame rate of the spinning record to that of the camera, no computer super-imposing was used; what you see is what rolled off the camera. The transitions between each section of animation was created by simply cutting or wiping between the bits of footage.
All the animations were created, drawn and coloured by the director David Wilson. Good job!

Nowadays in the digital age of entertainment people decreasingly work with analog techniques. Sure there are many reasons to do it like that- for instance, lower price of digital technology, don’t need an education to work with and the most important think you can work with an computer to handle. So everyone who tried to adjust an analog synthesizer or take photos with a SLR camera on film will notice the difference between analog and digital. Its a question of know-how.
Today i want you to introduce a little bit about the work of our dude and Berlin based analog photographer Michael Meinhardt. He’s one of these oldschoolers. I like the look of the raw analog pictures a lot. An atmosphere you wont get with digital cameras without using photoshop. Even if you use it you will not get this unique look made by film and developing liquids.
This is a little collection of my favorites shots you can find on his profile on FotoCommunity.

This works by Andrew Thomas Huang are enormous. Dark and mystery mood. Especially his new short film “RIFT”. An impressive worst case animation. It reminds me to the scientific experiments like the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at the European Nuclear Research Center (CERN) near Genf(CH).
Listed among Creativity Magazine’s Top 25 “Directors to Watch” in 2008, Andrew Huang’s work has been increasingly recognized by his trademark combination of live action, animation and visual effects. He is represented by William Morris Endeavor and is managed for commercials in North America by Moo Studios and Trouble Makers in Europe.
Our world becomes more and more artificial. Navigate websites via voice or camera, driving on futuristic vehicle instead of walking, saving tones of data on to tiny flashcards or produce music with the most spacey controller ever, like christian bannister with his multi-touch interface!
Some ideas I’ve seen in the past where going in the same direction but for me this is definitely the closest one. This is the first prototype by christian. The musician, designer and developer located in Portland, Oregon doing constantly updates – pursue that on subcycle.org.

Telenoika Cultural Association was founded on February 2000. It is a non-profit organization and intends to provide a platform for new artistic, social and cultural experiments through new audio+visual technologies. Telenoia’s definition by Roy Ascott describes the critical and connected soul of Telenoika, projecting how TV is affecting the society we are living in and how we reject it to open and share our minds in global networked connectivity.
The latest work by Telenoika is the Audiovisual Mapping @ the Jardí Theater facade on the first edition of Ingravid Festival in Figueres (ES) 9/2009. Firsttime i saw it i get these incredible possibility’s you could create with such an mapping of sound and light-projection, very impressive.

Kseniya Simonova (born 1985) is a sand animator from Ukraine. She was the 2009 Winner of Ukraine’s Got Talent , constructing an animation that portrayed life during USSR’s Great Patriotic War against the Third Reich in World War II.
A YouTube video of the performance has received more than two million hits. Sure in some ways a little bit cheezy but nevertheless an amazing piece of art.
