Typographic fairy tale by Strange Attractors

October 29th, 2009 // No Comments // Posted by Andrea

The design studio Strange Attractors produced a little short movie for FontShop. A short movie which tells the story of the Little Red Riding Hood. But it would be boring just to tell us the original story. Strange Attractors adopted the daily life of a typographer and formed it into a collection of all  kinds of fonts in a cute composition. But unfortunately the film is a little too small, i had problems with reading, but never mind it’s still a lovely and entertaining story and a good opportunity to get to know some fonts of FontShop.

Axel Peemöller wrote: “In Melbourne I developed a way-finding-system for the Eureka Tower Carpark while working for Emery Studio. The distored letters on the wall can be read perfectly when standing at the right position. This project won several international design awards.”

Pretty cool website introduction! With movable elements.

I like minimal websites with strong typography…here come two links for some great examples of how to do it right.
Less is more…reminds of the Album from Gelka i posted an article about recently…in some part they say: less is more…more or less… :-)

Non-Format | Design+Music

I am not sure how well known this talented graphic design duo is. But I don’t want to miss the chance to introduce you to them. Non-Format is an Graphic Design Agency leaded by Kjell Ekhorn (Norwegian) and Jon Forss (British). Now their studio is based in London, UK and in Minneapolis, USA. They show us how outstanding and contrasty puristic work can be. Some of their work is published under ” Die Gestalten Verlag”.

And I just think the title of this piece is suitable for this blog.
