rtz23 – n-time habitat video mix

June 3rd, 2012 // No Comments // Posted by Lukas

Berlin-based artist RTZ23 did a 44 minute (!) audiovisual compilation. Impressive stuff, music and graphics entirely produced by himself. You can grab the tunes for free on his soundcloud: http://soundcloud.com/rtz23/sets/n-time_habitat. RTZ23 is part of the OneBeat collective, a non-profit organization supporting Berlin-based artists.

Krake Festival // 15. – 21. August

August 17th, 2011 // No Comments // Posted by Andrea

“KRAKE ist an annual Berlin based festival for challenging electronic music and visual transduction initiated by Nico Deuster of KILLEKILL and Holger Hilgers.

The festival took place at the Suicide Circus for the first time in 2010 and was an overwhelming success: numerous groundbreaking artists of high reputation rocked the crowd such as Warp’s electronica heroes PLAID, techno legend CRISTIAN VOGEL, RADIOACTIVE MAN of the infamous two lone swordsmen or breakbeat weirdo BOGDAN RACZYNSKI. But there were also a lot of new talents who surprised the audience with their freshness. PLASTER with their audio/visual concert and KARSTEN PFLUM deserve to be named here.

For 2011 KRAKE will take the next level and consolidate its reputation as the most daring Berlin club festival with a massive line up in 4 venues and, a new website and an artwork by internationally acclaimed graphic designers DOPPELDENK. Musicians confirmed for 2011 include JIMMY EDGAR live set, BOLA live set, LEGOWELT live set, MIXMASTER MORRIS dj set, EMIKA live and many, many more.”

Is there anything more to say ?

just check their site
and be sure to go through the artist lists. HERE are some nice examples:

MINDLAB.04 // 22.04.2011 – The SUSTEN PASS Album Release by THE EBERTBROTHERS

I highly can recommend this event, live and totally mind blasting electronica tunes for your synapses. Music, noises and tones which let your cells vibrate in frequencies, you haven’t experienced before. It is music for your brain not for you feet, and if you close your eyes, your soul is dancing.

Hope to see you there in Berlin in the CHEZ JACKI (Maria am Ostbahnhof) next to the Spree river on the 22th of April.

Weapon of Choice

February 25th, 2011 // 1 Comment // Posted by Andrea

performed by Barbara Lüneburg, composed by Alexander Schubert

I love this combination of a classical instrument performing experimental and challenging sound in fusion with a visual projection. The music is measured with sensors, so that the the projection is following the pattern of the music. Great Live Performance. A mixture between an arty composing and modern electronica style.

In this relation i want to introduce you to sinebag another project of Alexander Schubert, more club like.
It is hard to describe the music, very thoughtful, influenced by classical composing and inspired by electronic music. Produced with live electronics, modular synthesizers and music software.
