Simón Prades is studying graphic design at the university of applied sciences in Trier. I really like his illustrations and drawings. A call to awareness of what is happening in the world is visible throughout his work. And we all need some more of that..

Music video to accompany The Japanese Popstars’ new track ‘Let Go’. Featuring techno artist Green Velvet on vocals, and follows on from their ‘Destroy EP’.
Created over an intensive 20 day period in September 2010.

ZSO also known as Sara Blake does some amazing Illustration work. Last night i was watching Justin Mallers live transmition on ustream and he commented about her and led me to the site. Nice way of finding out about new stuff.. So anyway, she is truly talented and does some very cool stuff. Here´s what she writes on her about page:

“Hello, I’m ZSO. (On paper you may also know me as Sara Blake.) I’m an Interactive Art Director, Designer, and Illustrator living and loving in New York City.

ZSO (pronounced |zō|) is a collection of letters that I find aesthetically and phonetically beautiful. Together they make sound much like “so,” the adverb which means “to such a great extent.” I am a person of extremes, for better or worse (most often the latter), so the ring of it was fitting, and the moniker has since stuck for good.

Alex Trochut

So, get lifted by this guy from Spain, currently living in Barcelona. Alex Trochut is an independent designer and illustrator, who has design in his genes. I reckon he never draw childish pictures, when he was kid. His trees were almost a perfect copy of nature and when he wrote Mama the first time, he invented a new typography. Ok, jokes beside. I was mesmerized by his work and, in turn, I was engaged, surprised and touched by its variety and intensity. His Typography work is vivid and playful with intelligent patterns and merges with his illustration style. The phrase less is more becomes rightly useless in his interpretation of structures and compositions. Even though the work is so vivid, he found the pure form contained within itself.

The work of Ryohei Hase

Ryohei Hase is a freelance illustrator and artist based in Tokyo. I am truly impressed with his Illustrations. In my opinion the “Repetition” series carries some of the distress of todays society. Fantastic work! There are some rabbits in his illustrations and “Hase” in german means “rabbit”. Not sure if there is any association.. an interesting detail though.
Here´s what he writes about his work:

“My theme of paintings is to express the darkness of mind which is sad and gloomy but at the same time, it´s beautiful and strong”

Wilhelm Staehle! There´s not much to be found about this Artist…just these sarcastic pieces from the “Silhouette masterpiece theatre” Series.
