Lexx mixtape for Noise in My Head

May 17th, 2011 // 1 Comment // Posted by Lukas

Lexx is back with another superb mixtape. This time for www.noiseinmyhead.com.au, two hour freeform sonic excursion that broadcasts every Sunday 10pm-midnight on Melbourne community radio station (3RRR 102.7FM).

Keeping the guests rolling with a super mellow set from Lexx, all the way from Zurich, Switzerland. Lexx’s mixes are enough to make you melt and this is no exception. Great late night radio and perfect for the week’s end. A bulk of his previous efforts are hosted at Test Pressing (of course!), available here, here, here and here. Lexx’s exquisite taste is also present in his own productions, remixes and edits. Highly active in this department, his output is sprawled across releases on Permanent Vacation, Claremont 56, Messalina, Leng etc. Definitely looking forward to hearing his impending rework of The Incarnations. In the meantime, find a relaxing spot and peace out with us…

Street Art in Melbourne – Fitzroy

October 8th, 2009 // 1 Comment // Posted by Andrea

The area Fitzroy in Melbourne is likewise famous for its alternative szene like the szene of Friedrichshain in Berlin. And often I was told that both citys are quite similar. So I was interested how streetart covers this szene. What I discovered, sometimes with luck and sometimes with the help of structured search for the untouched and secret places, is shown in my collages. I found for example stencils from Dolk, „Imperial Walker“, „I am your father“ and “R2D2″ and „Zebras“ from Plush. Very exiting!

I want to intodruce you to a very famous Artist from Melbourne. RekaOne. He is belonging to the street art scene. Of course he is not only a illustration genius by painting a wall. His illustration gave us a insight in a surrealistic and curious world of unique characters. Tomorrow I will visit a Club in Fitzroy, Melbourne, he created the wallpaintings. So I will see how his work looks in real.
