Sepalcure: Lovestep featuring Praveen in the mix and Sougwen Chung

Sepalcure is a collaboration of Brooklyn’s Praveen and Machinedrum. The two are creating something they call Lovestep, a combination of soulful house and 2 step beats. Here´s what they write about themselves:

I really like the idea and the´ve got proper support with the art direction by Sougwen Chung who produces imagery that goes with the music.

This mix by Preaveen is from November 2009 and features some of the best mellow dubstep tracks from 2009. This works so well  for the frosty winter here in Berlin..some of my favourite tracks are among these.

Breakalot serves the “Boss Breaks 2009″ Mix

Back from Portugal and back on track i´ll start with a premiere on the blog: to keep up with the diversity of electronic dance music we´re featuring our first breakbeat stomper. Perfect for the task is none else then my good friend and Algarve based bass mutant, Breakalot! Btw, I posted a Breakalot techno mix in July.
This mix in some parts sounds like an electric drill working on your brain membrane.. BRRRR..BRRRR…topnotch!

DJ Moarice – Swing King Mix @Wilde Renate in Berlin

A nice downtempo and swing mix by our friend DJ Moarice from Berlin. After some years djing he´s recently been playing this kind of sound regularly.
So here´s a recent recording from a 2:38 Hr Set played at the Club “Wilde Renate”. This mix has some really funky downtempo tracks in the beginning and goes more swing and old-school towards the end. I really like to listen to some of this stuff for a change. Well done!
