rtz23 – n-time habitat video mix

June 3rd, 2012 // No Comments // Posted by Lukas

Berlin-based artist RTZ23 did a 44 minute (!) audiovisual compilation. Impressive stuff, music and graphics entirely produced by himself. You can grab the tunes for free on his soundcloud: RTZ23 is part of the OneBeat collective, a non-profit organization supporting Berlin-based artists.

Music by “Halls”

Halls – Lifeblood. from Ben Symonds on Vimeo.

Halls – I Am Not Who You Want from The Sounds Of Sweet Nothing on Vimeo.

I really like music by Halls. It’s the solo project of south London-based musician Samuel Howard.  He combines “looped electronic samples with sparse vocals” with dense reverbs. The video for “Lifeblood” was created by Ben Symonds using footage from the BBC’s “Planet Earth” and “Frozen Planet”. Amazing outcome and works really well with the music.

Be sure to check out the Fragile EP on Bandcamp.

Great track and video from Uncanny Valley’s Cuthead. Originally released in December on his Brother EP, which is just great and definitely worth the buy.
Be sure to follow Uncanny Valley, some great output from Dresden. Video produced by Robert Arnold –

Andreya Triana ‘A Town Called Obsolete’ (Official Video)

Andreya Triana ‘A Town Called Obsolete’ (Official Video) from Ninja Tune on Vimeo.

“Second single from Andreya Triana, ‘A Town Called Obsolete’, released on 26th July on Ninja Tune. Taken from her forthcoming debut album ‘Lost Where I Belong’ (23rd August), which is produced by Bonobo”

I like the video a lot as they used the all so popular stereoscopic effect to simulate image depth. Its been spreading over the web for some time now and animated gif blogs feature many kinds of imagery.  See some on abduzeedo or on gesticulation. But lets not forget about Andreya Triana…she had a huuge year and the Album on Ninja Tune is long awaited, with tracks cooperations by Bonobo and even Mount Kimbie, some of my favourite artists at the moment. Looking forward to it!

Video produced and directed by Mister McCarthy and DOP Christopher Sabogal.
